Just for the split second that you thought you knew what was coming after those first few instruments in the beat dropped; you realized that you had no idea. That is the sound of something new taking over what you have become familiar with, and replacing it with something you can now appreciate as original. That new sound is that of DAT making his footprint in the sands of music. Born November 4, 1983 as a military brat; Marc, also known as DAT has had the opportunity to witness and experience many different cultures, lifestyles, and environments. Just beginning to rap at the age of 18, he found a way to naturally progress from a novice to an amateur to "hey I'd definitely bump that in the whip" by concocting a style so versatile that it can only be determined by the type of beat he is laying the vocals on. Other than his shout outs to Florida (his home Palatka, FL) and the south, his voice is not regionally linked to any one part of the country; he calls it "becoming one with the beat." Influenced by the likes of Bone Thugs and Harmony which he says he got his "flow" from, Jay-z, T.I, Lil Wayne and even local artists he hears daily, he always has something new up his sleeve. Very mild mannered unless provoked and a little cocky at times; expect DAT to embrace you as you embrace him and his music.
