Tristan da Cunha (opening) -- You know 'em, you love 'em. Boston's premiere mad scientists of rock, playing what should be their first show following their long-awaited CD release next week.

Hangman's Alphabet This will be the first performance for my new band, with Patrick Murphy (username: patrickm, ex-Kata Atlas) and Tim Clark. I've used this moniker in the past for a few solo-with-friends shows, but this will be the first show for the band as a permanent, fixed trio.

Words for Snow This will be WFS's first show with its original lineup in more than three years; they played a solitary show last summer (with myself filling in on bass), but for this show all four members will be playing (three travelling from New York, North Carolina, and Los Angeles) to play. I don't want to promise anything, but I'm also hoping this will be the show where their brilliant, unreleased record finally sees the light of day.

Chris Brokaw (headlining) The man's a local legend; having done time in Codeine, Come, The New Year, and Consonant. His solo work is just as genius; 2005's Incredible Love was one of my favorite records of that year, and he'll be performing a solo electric set at this show.

So come on out, celebrate with me as I roll the odometer on my twenties, and see what should be a great show.
