Music is philosophy

I wonder if living in Albuquerque, New Mexico has anything to do with the music I play. I don't think so. But the desert and mountains are two forces of nature that will always consume me. An anomaly of sorts, I find that music these days is not regarded with the esteem it once had of greater times. Still, reinventing the wheel is no task forsaken: you can make music louder or quieter, television--bigger or smaller. It's a sensational media that bares the emergence of the "millennial generation." This is the real world--we're all in this together. However, in becoming connected, it appears as though we've lost touch--the human element of communication remains a mystery as the willingness to opt out of engagements has encountered a most certain degree of vehicular commodity, modern convenience if you will. Still, the task of the artist remains: to stir emotion. To awaken and illustrate that which is very real to us in others is a power beyond the capacity of our nature. We found a mechanism to describe it. And, through this mechanism, we share it. We share what is real to us, only at least we don't all have to watch the same thing. I play rock and roll: my greatest impressions of music have been lent to the rhythm and blues culture. But, what's good is good, and there is no judge except you who can ascertain this. The honesty of one can be regarded with the honesty of the world. The mistakes that ensue can only better define the humanness to that which we've created. Let's share stories as we write them. Let us share meaning.
