Born in York, England in 1961, Steve Allen began his musical career at the age of fourteen years of age in 1975.
Whilst studying traditional English music and dance, acordeon and guitar, he made various appearances in Yorkshire, England.
In 1980 he recorded his first album "Travelling Man"(PMC 10), and appeared as part of the Ancient Shirts Folk Band at the Wath Folk Festival and the British Waterways Festival in London in the same year.
In 1981 he recorded his second album
"Oh! Good Ale"(PMC 165), appeared with Phil Gayle weekly on B.R.M.B. Radio in
Birmingham, England and participated in programes on Folk on 2, in B.B.C.
Radio 2, Radio Bedford and Radio Hallam (local radio of Sheffield, England).
In 1983 Steve Allen moved to Barcelona, Spain, where he presented his music in the local clubs. 1991 he moved to Paris, France, playing and singing in the local restaurants.
It was in 1991 when he participated in programs on RNE 4 (national Radio of Spain), Rádio Andorra (National Radio of Andorra) and was highlighted in journalistic reports on TVE 2 (National
Television of Spain)
In July of 1991, 92, 93 and 94 he made appearances in the "Trobada amb els Acordionistes del Pirineu", in Arsèguel, also participating in the compilation album of the event in 1993 e 94.
He also took part in the Festival de Puiggerda in 1991, both festivals taking place in the Pyrenees mountains, Catalonia.
In 1992 he participated in the "Fête de la Musique" in Geneva, Switzerland and decided to live in the referred city. In Luzern, Switzerland he was invited to participate in the recording of the album "Waters of the Sun" by Jon O'Biel.
Between 1986 and 1993 his musical style gradually transformed to being more progressive and consequently he made various tours in Italy, Germany, France and Switzerland.
In 1994 discovered Brazil and one year later recorded the album "Thirty Love" in Recife, Pernambuco.
Steve Allen produced an event new to Recife, "Rock Around the Clock" in March in 1997, in the same year participated in the "Caruaru Forró - Rock Fest", and played a season at the London Pub, in the old town of Recife which was highlighted in the newspaper Diário de Pernambuco.
In 1998 Steve produced "Rock Around the Clock II", involving fourteen rock bands and in the same year produced "Monster Rock" in João Pessoa, Paraíba, registered by the press as being the biggest event of this type in the states' history.
It was in 1999 that he made contact with the Fulni-ô Indians, from Águas Belas in Olinda and in March of that year made the only studio recording of pure Brazilian Indian music. That was to be the start of a strong freindship with the tribe.
In September of the same year he produced the "Festival da Safra de Catende" presenting bands Natureza Humana and Soís Pagodis to that public.
In 2000 the CD "Yaathé" by the native Indian group Saktêlhassato was released (recorded the previous year) in the Governors Palace by the Right Honourable State Governor Jarbas Vasconcelos, Culture Secretary Carlos Gárcia and consecrated group Quinteto Violado who were also present. The release of the album was highlighted in a report in the Globo newspaper in Rio de Janeiro. Also in March together with Lillíssacar of the Fulni-ô, inaugurated the "Living Museum" in Águas Belas which was reported on Globo television both in the states of Pernambuco and Paraíba.
The following month he directed a video clip of local singer Ravel which was included in the programming of TV Jornal (Recife).
In the month of November Steve Allen sponsored the I Ibura Rock Festival in UR11. In the same month produced the CD "Recife Festival of Pop" (PMCD 303) a compliation disk including five of the best pop bands from Recife.
It was in the month of December when he was awarded "Revelation 2000" together with painter Roberto Ribeiro by the magazine Enfoque.
In 2001 Steve Allen gave interviews at Jovem - Cap radio station and also produced together with Gilmar Vagalhume the third edition of the Ibura Rock Festival on May 12th.
Steve Allens' music has been played on the radios from Recife Caetés, Top FM, Rádio Tribuna FM and Rádio Capibaribe - Jovem Cap, and was used in jingles on Rádio Transamérica as well as being highlighted on Transamérica in Paraíba.
In Recife he was highlighted in
television programes Samir Abou Hana, Bate Paco Musical e Tribuna Jovem as
well as being the topic for reports on TV Jornal, Televisão Globo, TV Record
and TV Tribuna.

In 2003 he produced the second CD of the Fulni-ô indians

with the presence of the State Governor.
From 2003 Steve Allen has followed a career of consultant and music producer, his most recent production, "Onde o Asfalto Termina" (Where the Asphalt Ends), being awarded by "Rumos" promoted by Itaú Cultural in June 2005.
Today he is author, lecturer and consultant.
