Somehow I managed to miss this, but apparently for the past 4 years Allston's #1 dive bar the Model Cafe has been hosting a music industry networking night called The Rock n Roll Social. This is a great concept; sure promoting your music on the internet is great, but actual conversation if a much better way to show your sincerity. You can meet other bands, industry professionals, find bandmates, swap shows.. ect. Bring all of your promotional stuff and dress to impress every second Tuesday of every month from 7pm-10pm (21+, no cover). Next social is October 9th, look for it on UA's Boston page!

Getting to the Model: Closest T stop should be Green line to Allston Street. Walk down Allston Street to Brighton Ave (landmark to look for is Silhouettes bar, corner of Allston/Brighton) and take a left on Brighton Ave. Walk down Brighton toward Twin Donuts where Brighton Ave splits and N. Beacon starts. The Model is 7 N. Beacon, across from Twin Donuts.

Also, the 57 bus from Kenmore Square up Brighton Ave will drop you off practically in front of the Model. "
